Why Boolean search matters
LinkedIn’s normal search is okay, but if you’re doing outbound, you need more control:
- Include key roles (founder, co-founder, CEO, “head of sales”...).
- Exclude recruiters, students, and agencies that waste your time.
- Focus on India, and sometimes specific cities.
1. Indian SaaS founders (11–50 employees)
Use this in LinkedIn “People” search → Keywords → Boolean:
("founder" OR "co-founder" OR "cofounder" OR "chief executive officer" OR "ceo")
AND ("SaaS" OR "software product" OR "b2b software")
AND ("India" OR "Bengaluru" OR "Bangalore" OR "Pune" OR "Hyderabad")
NOT ("recruiter" OR "hiring" OR "talent acquisition" OR "student")
Then, add company headcount filter: 11–50 employees. This gives you focused founders, not huge corporates.
2. IT decision-makers in mid-sized Indian companies
Great if you sell IT services, cybersecurity, infra, or CRM implementation.
("Head of IT" OR "IT Manager" OR "VP IT" OR "Chief Information Officer" OR "CIO")
AND ("manufacturing" OR "logistics" OR "real estate" OR "financial services")
AND ("India")
NOT ("consultant" OR "recruiter" OR "trainer")
Add company size filter: 51–200 employees or 201–500 depending on your ICP.
3. Operations / supply chain heads (India)
Useful if you sell logistics SaaS, warehouse software, or process automation.
("Head of Operations" OR "Operations Head" OR "VP Operations" OR "COO" OR "Supply Chain Manager")
AND ("logistics" OR "3PL" OR "warehousing" OR "distribution")
AND ("India")
NOT ("consultant" OR "freelance" OR "trainer")
Turn this into an AI-powered workflow
- Use the Boolean string in LinkedIn and save a small list of profiles.
- Copy profile sections (headline, About, experience) into B2B Lead Builder.
- Ask AI to suggest: pain points, angle, and first-message ideas.
Example AI prompt you can paste into ChatGPT / Gemini:
Act as a B2B outbound coach for the Indian market. Here is a LinkedIn profile summary (copy-paste headline + about + experience here). 1) Identify 3–5 likely pain points this person is facing in their role. 2) Suggest 2 short, respectful LinkedIn connection notes I can send, with NO fake flattery. 3) Suggest 1 follow-up message if they accept but don’t reply. Keep it concise, Indian context aware, and avoid US-style hype.
